Our inspiration is derived from observation of pattern in nature. Using color, line, form, texture, light and shadow with pattern themes being developed using the mediums of sculpture, drawing and painting. Our work celebrates the unknown divine.
Founded in 1998 by the artist and sculptor Sally Price, Boldstone has worked with local and international interior and garden designers, architects and property developers. Boldstone focuses on creating unique Wall Sculptures and Furnishings and Managing Projects. We offer a variety of art pieces, including original prints, paintings, high-quality giclee prints and 3-D sculptures. In addition, we make furnishings, our clients can select from our collection or collaborate on a bespoke design piece.
Our sculpture and furnishings designs are available to order or made to commission for residential and commercial projects. Boldstone makes art in several mediums. We have interpreted most of our designs in the form of wall sculptures and furnishings and are keen to participate in new challenges whether that be 3-D sculpture, painting, printmaking or functional art.
Sally Price, artist and designer founded Boldstone Sculpture in 1998 in the UK. She has worked with many architects, interior and garden designers as well as private clients to design and produce wall sculptures and water features for gardens and interiors.
Sally’s designs are inspired by patterns and forms in nature whether that be the corrugations of sand ripples on a beach, the curves and spirals in waves and sea shells, or the shifting shadow shapes of the Moon's phases. These patterns and forms have been interpreted into bold and pared down forms with a strong emphasis on texture, light and shadow. This method and approach to design continues to create interest in making new sculptures and art forms.
