Two Frozen Decowaves catches a wave at the moment it breaks and holds it still. Sweeping carved curves run the length of two tall panels, hung side by side so the forms read across the gap between them a composition drawn from the bold geometry of 1930s Art Deco and individually carved and cast by hand in the Boldstone studio in Bath, England.
The cast composite surface has a hand-applied verdigris patina: deep blue-green in the hollows, worn back to pale grey-green along the ridges, so the sculpture reads like weathered bronze and sits naturally against stone, brick or a plain painted wall.
Each panel measures 90 × 15 × 8 cm. Hung as a pair, the composition spans approximately 90 × 30 × 8 cm; the spacing can be adjusted to suit the wall. Total weight is approximately 14 kg. Suitable for interior or exterior use, including hallways, stairwells, fireplaces, courtyards and garden walls.
